Chrysler 300 vs. Chevy Impala

Buying a new vehicle from a Chrysler dealer in South Burlington, VT, can be a tricky experience. Between choosing a vehicle model and make and then all of the add-ons, the entire process can be positively dizzying.

But at your local Chrysler dealer-Goss Chrysler Dodge Ram-we do things a little bit differently. By providing vehicle comparisons, we make your entire buying experience that much easier.

Here's a comparison between the 2015 Chrysler 300 and the Chevy Impala, two popular options on the market today.

A Closer Look at the 2015 Chrysler 300

Power: If you're looking for power, the 2015 Chrysler 300 delivers with its two engine options. The standard option is a 3.6-liter V6 24-valve Variable Valve Timing (VVT) engine that produces 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The upgraded option is a 5.7-Liter V8 HEMI MDS (Multi-Displacement System) VVT engine that produces 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque.

Entertainment: Of course, what you really want to know about is the entertainment technology features in the 2015 Chrysler 300. It's a luxury vehicle after all, so it has to have some great stuff. Thankfully, it absolutely delivers with a high-performance audio system that includes two options: the Uconnect 8.4A system or the 8.4AN System. Both options have an 8.4-inch high-resolution full-color touchscreen that's easy to use and highly responsive.

Power:The 2015 Chevy Impala also offers two engine options, though you'll definitely notice a big difference in the power capability. The standard model offers a 2.5-liter four-cylinder direct injection engine with intake Variable Valve Lift (iVVL) that produces a mere 196 horsepower. The more powerful engine is comparable to the standard V6 engine of the Chrysler 300. The biggest downside is that the Impala doesn't offer a V8 engine, which is a real downer for many casual drivers.

Entertainment:The Chevy Impala comes equipped with a standard audio system but offers an upgrade to an 8-inch diagonal color infotainment display with Chevrolet MyLink Radio. Unfortunately, this system isn't as well received as Chevy had hoped. It's a bit slow and a bit complicated to use, especially when you're on the go. In addition, it's nearly a half inch smaller than the system in the Chrysler 300, which is quite a large difference in the entertainment technology game.
